Countdown to A-Day: Feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve
This Saturday at two in the afternoon in Bryant-Denny Stadium we will have the pleasure of watching the finest football program in the nation take the field. If you have never been to an Alabama spring game I encourage you to do so. While it is only a scrimmage, it still delivers a full gameday atmosphere.
Last year’s A-Day attendance was 91,312 and led the country. Over the last four years, Alabama has totaled 345,700 fans attending the spring game. We established a college football record in the spring of 2007 as a capacity crowd of 92,138 watched Coach Saban’s first time on the field. With the new expansion increasing stadium capacity over 100,000, we will once again have an oppertunity to regain the spring game attendance record this year after Ohio State took the lead with 95,722 fans in 2009. And what’s better than beating Ohio State?
So if you can come, please do. Show this team the kind of support they deserve and send a message to the rest of the country that we are stronger than ever. The game is free for all to attend. Weather should be amazing as the predictions are low 70s and no rain.
